Family-friendly camping

Family-friendly camping in Sussex. Have a wonderful holiday surrounded by stunning locations. Our truly family-friendly camping options have plenty of space for that sense of freedom. Kids have the chance to run free whilst parents can unwind. The on and off-site activities accommodate adults and children of all ages.

Discover a new place to play and create your own “wilderness vibe”

We have private sections with direct river access or whole pieces of woodland. Our campsites are designed for parental peace of mind. The open plan aspects are broken up by plenty of trees, tyre swings and woodland play areas.

Perfect for your family’s adventures

Our campsites are peaceful, relaxing and surrounded by nature. Family camping is great for relationship building and letting you get the chance to talk without distraction. The Pop Up child-friendly campsites have on and off-site activities including seasonal treasure hunts.

Our campsites are perfect for wildlife lovers and to encourage outdoor play

Nestling close to Camber Sands and Rye at the Hop and Hare Farm, this outdoor space encompasses a brook, meadowland and woodland. Camber Sands is one of the region’s stand-out sandy beaches which features the purest and longest dune systems on the South Coast.

Outdoor activities and experiences bring families together and forge memories

Some of the family-friendly activities can be found in the close-by picturesque village of Herstmonceux in Hailsham. Its Observatory Science Centre and Castle are all located close to our Secret Campsite at Hop and Hare Farm ( approx half hour by car) The annual Medieval Festival takes place here during the August bank holiday weekend. The Science Centre is set in the beautiful countryside with a cafe and picnic area great for relaxing and refuelling after your excursions.

Outdoor activities lead to a greater connection with nature and encourage children to be more engaged

As adults, we frequently recall the joy of playing outdoors as our own happiest memories of childhood.  Play is central to children’s enjoyment and teaches critical life skills such as creativity, teamwork, problem-solving and resilience. Also, fresh air and exercise improves our health and well being. The river campsite offers water-based activities such as canoeing, paddleboards and kayaks for hire.

Our outdoor spaces are ideal for families and large groups.

Book your group gathering in one of our separate spaces across our campsites.

Hire tree tents, bell tents, shepherds huts or self pitch.
