Bracken at Hop and Hare Farm
The Hut (“Bracken”) has a wonderful tranquil view from its picture window, overlooking wild meadows and woodland, with the other windows enjoying far reaching views of the East Sussex countryside.
Super comfy double bed with warm bedding & linen. A shower with a view, private toilet and natural toiletries. Games and books, corner sofa (which converts to 2 x single beds), log burner for warm cosy evenings.
Ice box, kitchenware, crockery, salt + pepper, local coffee, west country tea. With an outside kitchen, fire pit and grill, and outside seating, the hut has everything you need.

The best stay is a 3 day wind-down; tune-in, drop-out, switch-off and reset. Reach for the binoculars and watch Bernard the owl course across the meadow.
The Hut is available all year round, please contact the office directly for stays out of season (October – February) and 3 night stays outside of the summer holidays. In season stays (March – September) can be booked online. See below for booking details!

If you have friends wishing to join you to camp, please mention their names in the message box and we will aim to allocate them pitches as near to the hut as possible
Walk to the pub
We have a specially designed maps that guides you along a bridal way 30 minutes to the New Inn or the 3 Oaks pub.
If you have the legs for an 1hour walk you can visit the Carr Taylor vineyard and tour the vines and distillery.
Vineyard tours
Tillingham tours run every day during the summer season. They generally last around 90 minutes, though can be shorter or longer depending on the size of the group.
Hidden beaches
The hut is close to some hidden gems. Frolic on beaches only locals know about. Ideal for couples or families who love an adventure. Be prepared to walk for 20 minutes to find the these hidden treasures. The last time we swam off the Pett level beach we were joined by an inquisitive seal who kept popping up to check us out. A magical moment.
Paddleboarding the local rivers
We have paddleboards to hire, or you can hire them direct from the waterway. We can arrange pick up and drop off points, offer guides or maps for best spots to stop, eat, drink your way down the river.
Walking in the footsteps of history.
Hastings 1066 the land of battles trace the foot steps of Joan of Arc, Vikings kings and queens. Try the Westfield and Doleham trail, is good for all levels and takes you along a spur of the River Brede.
