Glamping at Glastonbury with Bell Tent Camping

Glamping at Glastonbury 2021 bring us some eco sustainable camping

The excitement of Glastonbury 2021 following this years ‘lockdown’

The festival will have the usual mix of music and theatre. So you have your Golden ticket, and now you need an accommodation to match.

Pop up campsites and Bell tent Co have been producing luxury event accommodation, for nearly ten years, and we have seen the Glamping industry grow, structures getting bigger and facilities getting more and more luxurious. The sad truth is temporary sites offering Luxury camping accommodation run with extremely high wastage tags.

We felt a sense of responsibility to try and balance out what we produce in the luxury market and see how much can be replicated in a sustainable and balanced way. We are all essentially looking for safe, comfy clean camping facilities, by thinking outside the norm and being creative and imaginative we think it is possible.

We will still offer stunning canvas structures like Bell tents, safari suits but also want to offer cost effective tents for like minded campers who want intelligent and creative options to the growing consumer issues of nylon throw away tents. In stepped Kartent, the unique structure makes it water tight, wind resistant and blocks out the sun keeping the temperature down and the thumping hang over at bay. We can supply 50% of the power through solar energy, low consumption gas boilers, showers and toilets that use 60% less water, recycling points, vegetarian food, food recycling to local pig farms, no paper cups or plastic bottles served.

Every camper gets their own sustainable welcome pack that includes, power bank, enamel mug, water thermos bottle and cotton bag. All water points will be drinking water, the bar will stock local produce as will the general store. With fun twists from axe throwing, beer pong tables campsite tug of war and free chill out tents dotted about the campsite, every thing we are providing is recycled up cycled or hired. Our land team are busy coppicing willow and hazel from our Sussex campsite so we can calculate our carbon foot print and once we have used the willow as landscaping through the chill out tents we will plant them out and give them freedom.

Happy Glamping!

One of Govia Thameslink Railway’s  spokespersons said: “We are pleased to inform you that the proposed ASLEF and RMT drivers strike on August 1,2 and 4 has now been suspended and we are proud to be working with Brighton & Hove Pride to help get people to and from this spectacular event.
We will be utilising our new longer trains on our Thameslink routes to and from London and also adding carriages on our Southern and Gatwick Express routes where possible.
“Services are still expected to be extremely busy during the festival and queuing systems maybe in place, so do allow extra time to travel and plan to travel outside peak times. As always, we advise you to check before you travel in case there are any short notice alterations due to disruption.
