Pride Diversity Games 23rd to 24th July 2016

Brighton Pride CIC in association with BLAGSS,  TransCanSport, Sussex County FA, Sussex Cricket and other organisations run the Pride Diversity Games.

Pride Diversity Games events will take place Saturday 23rd to Sunday 24th July 2016 and welcomes individual sporting participants and UK and European LGBT friendly sport clubs.

Badminton, cricket, football, golf, rugby and tennis  are the are six sports activities confirmed for the this year’s Pride Diversity Games and the Pride Diversity Games FunDay takes place on Sunday 24th July.

During this special weekend with nearly one thousand participants, sports venues will reduce their entry fees for visitors and non-competitive sporting events are on offer such as tennis for beginners, Petanque, walking and yoga.

At the moment the main venues for the Games are Falmer Sports Complex, Hollingbury Golf Course, Hove Park, Preston Park and the University of Sussex.

The Registration and Welcome event starts at 19.00 on Friday 22nd July 2016.

The following are details of the timetable:

Saturday 23rd July

9.00am Tennis tournament at Falmer Sports Complex, University of Sussex (registration 8.00am)

9.00am Golf tournament & Badminton tournament at Falmer Sports Complex (registration 8.00am)

9.30am Golf matches at Hollingbury Golf Course (registration from 8.30am)

10.00am Rugby tournament at Hove Park

10.00am Petanque tournament at Brighton & Hove Petanque Club terrain (registration 9.30am)

11.00am Football tournament at Falmer Sports Complex, University of Sussex (registration 10.00am)

1.00pm Cricket tournament at Falmer Sports Complex, University of Sussex (registration 12noon)

There will be Group meals in popular Brighton eateries the evening of Saturday 23rd July as well as socialising within the city from approx 9pm

On Sunday 24th July the 5 km Rainbow Run warm up starts at 11.30am and the race commences at 12noon in Preston Park. This will be followed by the Pride Diversity Games FunDay from 1.30pm with the Awards Ceremony taking place at 3.30pm.

Brighton Pride 30th July – 2nd August 2015

Brighton Pride Festival time is here and what better way to visit Brighton for the event than to stay at the Pop up Pride Campsite, which is in an excellent location 5 minutes taxi ride away and on a main bus route into Brighton. There are tents to suit all price ranges from empty bell tents to kitted bell tents, which include beds, bedding, carpet, lighting, bedside tables and bunting. The sites include the essential toilets, showers, mains power and a pampering area…so you will be ready to party at Brighton Pride 2015!
